Listen to these wonderful songs before witnessing WENDY live!
PH ReVeluvs, the time has finally come! Red Velvet’s main vocalist and “Vocal Queen,” WENDY, is returning to the Philippines for her very 1st World Tour <W:EALIVE> at the New Frontier Theater this Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Known for her crystal-clear high notes, soul-stirring ballads, and undeniable stage charisma, WENDY is ready to wreck our bias lists (again!) and deliver a night of healing and hype. From her emotional solo debut to the OSTs that defined our favorite K-dramas, she’s proving she’s a limitless artist.
To get you ready for the vocal masterclass we are about to witness, we’ve handpicked ten evergreen tracks, mixing her solo masterpieces with the hidden gems and collaborations you’ve been dying to hear live. Before you see her shine on stage, take a nostalgic trip through the discography of Son Seung-wan!
NOTE: This list is handpicked and may not guarantee that all of the songs will be performed at the concert.
Without further ado, let’s get hyped up with the list.
The song that started her solo legacy. “Like Water” is a warm, acoustic ballad that feels like a hug for your soul. With lyrics about gratitude and standing by someone’s side, it’s the ultimate fan song. Prepare your tissues, because hearing this live with the “Blue Ocean” of lightsticks is going to be a core memory.
A raw, piano-driven masterpiece where WENDY’s vocals take center stage, literally. It’s a song about taking a break when life gets too heavy, and her breath control here is simply out of this world. Can you survive the emotional weight of this song live? We’re not sure we can!
WENDY said goodbye to the “nice girl” image and gave us this catchy, pop-rock anthem! It’s sassy, it’s liberating, and it’s the perfect breakup song for anyone needing to cut ties with toxicity. Get ready to scream the chorus, it’s the ultimate stress reliever!
PH ReVeluvs, are you ready to get emotional? This track lets WENDY unleash her powerful chest voice in a way we rarely see. It’s intense, emotional, and gritty.
We are taking it back to 2016! This duet (originally with Seulgi) is the definition of a catchy earworm. It’s playful, bouncy, and shows off WENDY’s brighter vocal color. It’s impossible not to bop your head to this, it’s the perfect pick-me-up track for the concert setlist!
A remake that WENDY made her own. Originally by Lee Ji-hoon and Shin Hye-sung, WENDY’s version (with Seulgi and Kangta) adds a delicate, sorrowful touch to this beautiful ballad. Her harmonies here are angelic, proving that she doesn’t always need to belt to make an impact—sometimes, the softest notes hit the hardest.
“Thanks to you, I smile…” This song is the ultimate friendship anthem. This track is sweet, jazzy, and full of warmth. Whether she performs it solo or brings a surprise guest, this song reminds us of the bond she shares with her members, and with us, her fans.
A fan-favorite B-side that showcases her groovy, R&B sensibilities. The storytelling here is top-tier, capturing the confusing feelings of a situationship with a dreamy, lo-fi vibe. It’s a track that proves WENDY can do more than just belt high notes; she can set a whole mood.
If you love WENDY’s lower register and jazzy runs, “Vermilion” is the one. It paints a picture of love using colors, and her vocal delivery is as rich as the title suggests. It’s sophisticated and smooth, perfect for the intimate vibe of the venue.
You can’t talk about WENDY without mentioning her OST supremacy. “Goodbye” is an emotional powerhouse that showcases the desperate longing of a heartbreak. It’s one of those songs that proves why she is the queen of soundtracks. PH ReVeluvs, are you ready to sing along?
We couldn’t fit everything in the Top 10, but these tracks are absolute essentials for any WENDY playlist:
Written in the Stars (with John Legend): The global collaboration that proved WENDY is world-class. A smooth, romantic essential.
What If Love (Touch Your Heart OST): A dramatic ballad that starts with a whisper and ends with an explosion of emotion.
The Little Match Girl (with NCT DOYOUNG): A winter fairytale duet that highlights her storytelling ability.
Miracle (with MeloMance): A soaring ballad about finding hope, featuring some of her most impressive high notes.
