This article might contain a bit of biased opinions and wordings in favor of this group. Your chances of being a fan could increase by 99% after reading this article. You’ve been warned. Now go on reading.
Hello there! Ever wondered why you’re here?
Sounds weird? Of course, it should – but it’s effective, trust me.
Oh well, if you do, perhaps you’ve been interested in this month’s artist, which comes in the name of (G)I-DLE. With that said, I’m here to tell you stories and points about why should you follow them, and be addicted like it’s a dose of daily drug that will eventually become your habit.
But for those who don’t know (G)I-DLE, here’s a bit of information about them:
Their concept is absolutely note-worthy
People can get tired of the usual bubblegum, cute and such concepts, but not easily with dreamy and sexy ones
You might find this a little bit sensitive but we’re not going to compare. Some groups, while we don’t really advise to plagiarize, should take notes from (G)I-DLE’s concepts and make something better from it if possible. From their debut song LATATA to Hann and now Señorita, it just shows that there’s no really much harm in trying as long as you can pull it out.
The thing is, people can get tired of the usual bubblegum, cute and such concepts, but not easily with dreamy and sexy ones. And by combining it with the former, we can get something better.
To add to that, their strong stage presence also contributes to the recipe.
Their songs give a certain vibe
Just like iKON (our first-ever male artist on #ArtistSpotlight), (G)I-DLE’s songs took ‘that vibe effect’ to the next level. With catchy hooks and dreamy mix of instrumentals, it’s like the group is starting to be a factory of bops within the K-Pop industry. Mark our words here, they’ll be one of the foundations of third (or should we say fourth?) generation K-Pop.
Take a listen to some of their title tracks, which in effect, would guarantee you to listen to their other side tracks from their mini albums.
You done listening? Now let us know what do you think.
To be honest, what led me to ‘stanning’ (G)I-DLE was their catchy tunes. I’d say that one of my all-time favorite songs of K-Pop was from their sidetracks on their ‘I Am‘ mini album. See below what I’m talking about.
Charisma and Versatility at its finest
At HallyuLife, we believe that K-Pop groups are trained to become versatile in the entertainment industry. However, only some of them were actually exhibiting those what they are trained for in real life, and one of them is (G)I-DLE.
You may want to check out their TV guestings, collaborations with other artists, covers and so on. The list goes on, but that alone, would show how (G)I-DLE loves to do things on their scope and beyond. Take a look at one of the examples, where they obviously gained ARMY’s respect for covering a BTS song, which usually would result to the opposite if you failed to give justice.
They’re also doing great when it comes on variety and reality shows, which of course, would be a great component when you want to know them better. Here’s their own reality show called ‘To Neverland’, aptly named for their fandom called ‘Neverland’.
Will you believe me if I say that every single member in this group also serves visuals? From my bias Yuqi to Minnie, to Miyeon, Soojin, Soyeon and Shuhua – what else could you ask for?
Perhaps this section doesn’t need more explanation – their photos would do justice.
From their leader Soyeon who is currently doing a lot of work in producing and writing music of her group, as well as her own and others, as well as the other members’ abilities when it comes to dancing, gymnastics, and more (the list just builds up so I can’t completely elaborate them at once), this group is just growing up to be more wonderful as they could.
In a field which is dominated by visuals and reputation, (G)I-DLE isn’t surely lacking what others do, and since they are individually talented, the four other points would simply make sense and you’ll realize that it’s their recipe to become such a wonderful group.
Of course, don’t forget to follow them on their official social media accounts:
