UPDATE on 2018.08.18: Added the response of Mrs. Richelle Singson-Michael, one of the persons involved in MOMOLAND’s visit in PH.
We received an update and an official statement addressing the information we first reported above. Below is the official statement of one of the parties involved, shedding a light about the said issue.
1. There was no incident in NAIA. Girls arrived well and happy.
2. As far as I know, there is no fan meeting scheduled today. I asked Solaire group as well, and they do not know of any fan meet also. The girls wanted to rest so they just stayed in the hotel today. 🙂
3. MLD Entertainment, and MOMOLAND loved the greet in the airport! In fact, Nancy kept waving at them, and we even opened all the window shades of the bus and stayed parked there long so the fans and the girls can see each other.

As you can see from the 24 Oras TV report below, fans have flocked just to see the group on the airport.
We’ve previously reported about the rumors that MOMOLAND will be having a fan-meet prior or after their performance at Solaire. This thread from Twitter user @nanwoo_diary calls it out and blames PH merries for being disrespectful and calls for an open mind.

The Twitter user says how former governor Chavit Singson invited MOMOLAND here in the country so that he has the control of their activities and mentioned about the 3-hour fan-meeting prior to their live show at Solaire. It also mentioned that because of what happened on the airport on the group’s arrival in NAIA Terminal 1 last August 16, MLD Entertainment forcefully took over the control and halted the supposed fan-meeting.
It added: “This source of mine tried to reach Chavit through a friend and asked to have a little fan meeting even just for a few minutes but Chavit said he cannot do anything anymore because the agency took over already.”
Since then, MOMOLAND’s security become stricter and that’s because of MLD Entertainment’s orders. The Twitter user added that MLD Entertainment even called the Filipino fans ‘barbaric’, which means ‘very rude or offensive’.
MOMOLAND’s agency CEO Lee Hyung-jin also came with the group, as seen on this photo:
At the end, it talks about how the Filipino fans should behave and have respect and discipline so that the company won’t hesitate about having the girl group back into the Philippines. Of course, this might be a rumor so we should treat this information hence with a grain of salt.
We’d reached out to MLD Entertainment for comment, and will update this article once we got a response.
