He can sing, he can act, he can cook—and now, he writes us a love letter, too.
They say that everyone becomes a poet when they’re in love. Perhaps that’s why, last October 10, everyone inside the SM Mall of Asia Arena became an author for one night. Each of us took note of every little moment, hoping to immortalize a night so special.
Or perhaps we were all under the spell of a man who loves so openly, so tenderly, and so loudly. That was the feeling during Byeon Woo Seok’s 2026 Asia Fan Meeting Tour, The Secret Library, where the South Korean actor showed us how a love so abundant could fill the pages of an entire book—or even a whole shelf.
And although the fanmeet has come to an end, those lovely moments remain vivid in Woo Che Tongs’ hearts. So, let’s revisit the pages and discover how Byeon Woo Seok wrote the perfect love letter to his Filipino fans, one unforgettable chapter at a time.

The SM Mall of Asia Arena was already buzzing with anticipation hours before the program began. Fans giggled as they shared their favorite Byeon Woo Seok dramas, while some took photos of their K-drama-inspired OOTDs. Others proudly showed off their rare Byeon Woo Seok umbrellas (IYKYK), decorated their adorable blue-and-white lightsticks, and exchanged photocards.
As hours turned into minutes and minutes into mere seconds, our hearts beat faster and faster. Finally, the stage lit up, and his voice filled the arena. The global Hallyu star serenaded Filo Tongtongs with a live performance of Daybreak’s “Flower Road,” waving to the crowd and greeting his fans with a big, genuine smile.
Personally, it was my first time hearing the song, but something about his performance made it linger in my head. It felt like a little prophecy that every moment of that night was destined to be bookmarked in our hearts.
“I’m very excited to be back here in Manila to meet my Filipino Woo Che Tongs,” Byeon Woo Seok said in Korean. “It’s actually my third time being back here in the Philippines. Every time I’m here, I really want to say thank you so much for your warm welcome.”
For those who first met him as Sunjae-ya in the stellar romantic comedy Lovely Runner, it was time to relive the ultimate Im Sol moments. Three lucky fans got to reenact some of the drama’s most heart-fluttering scenes with Byeon Woo Seok. Remember the hand-comparison scene? Yup, the one that had us melting through our screens! And as the cherry on top, Byeon Woo Seok even took an Instax selfie with each of them.
“It was quite embarrassing reenacting it outside of the set,” Byeon Woo Seok said with a smile. “But doing it with the fans makes it more special.”

But the main-character moments didn’t end there. Byeon Woo Seok later serenaded the crowd with two fan-favorite Lovely Runner OSTs: “Sudden Shower” and ECLIPSE’s “No Fate.” Just like that, fans were transported back to the moments when they first fell for Ryu Sunjae, the character who helped make him a household name
Keeping the energy high, Woo Seok showed his competitive side during the program’s Filmography Quiz, where he had to answer trivia questions about his previous works. It was hilarious to see him struggle with the answers while still trying his best to win, eventually turning to the fans for help. After failing to answer the first question correctly three times, he showed off his sense of humor by suggesting that, since Sunjae could travel through time in the drama, perhaps he could do the same to get another chance at answering.

Those were the little moments that made him feel like a real person—not someone fictional or scripted, but someone who genuinely wanted to spend time with his fans and make them happy.
When Byeon Woo Seok says he wants to be closer to his fans, he means it. The global Hallyu star stepped off the stage to greet them up close, walking slowly, waving, and posing for photos to make the most of every opportunity to connect with the crowd.
“I tried to be closer with you guys,” Byeon Woo Seok said. “It was really nice to see you up close, although I couldn’t make eye contact with everyone,” he added.

And to show that he would always treasure his Filo Tongtongs, he even played the Filipino game Tumbang Preso and picked up a few Filipino phrases to take with him on his next visit. From his honey-sweet “Mahal kita,” “Maganda,” and “Cute kayo!” to the humorous local catchphrase “Yoohoo! Dito ang tingin,” he gave fans even more reasons to adore him.
As if that weren’t enough to melt our hearts, he even cooked gyeran-mari, a Korean rolled omelet, for some lucky Filo Tongtongs.

Despite fumbling with eggshells, forgetting to add salt, and failing on his first try, Woo Seok persevered. His finishing touches? Some rather abstract cloud and heart shapes drawn with ketchup and hot sauce. But when it came to the taste test, our lucky tasters could only exclaim, “Masherep!” “Sobrang Sherap!” and “Malinamnam!”
Well, with Grand Prince Ian kneeling before me and asking if I’d like more of his omelet, I probably wouldn’t be able to resist showering him with every compliment in the world.
As the fanmeet drew to a close, Woo Seok gave his fans one more reason to hold on to the night, delivering a heartfelt performance of “Fate Line,” an OST from his romance-fantasy drama The Perfect Crown.
“All just because of Woo Tongtongs’ unconditional love, we were able to come this far,” he said, thanking his fans. “The precious memories that we wrote together today, I will tuck it into another page of this book. So, whenever I would like to open it again, I can revisit my heart and open it again,” he shared in his closing letter.

But the fans weren’t about to let Woo Seok leave without one last surprise. Right after the photo op, they began singing “Sudden Shower,” the beloved Lovely Runner OST that had become something of a love anthem. Like a warm hug in return, the serenade was the fans’ way of showing him just how much comfort and joy he had brought them through the years.
“Byeon Woo Seok, you’re the story we’ll always be proud to tell,” read the message in their video tribute to him. The gesture was so heartfelt that Woo Seok couldn’t help but tear up with a soft smile on his face.

That night wasn’t just a fanmeeting—it was a workshop on love letters. Byeon Woo Seok reminded us that love doesn’t have to be as grand as a prince’s. Sometimes, it can be as simple as cooking an omelet (even without salt). Love doesn’t need multiple time slips to make a moment feel timeless. Sometimes, all it takes is being present, cherishing the people around us, and choosing to write the next chapter together.
And if The Secret Library taught us anything, it’s that the most beautiful love letters aren’t always written with pen and paper. Sometimes, they’re written in songs, shared laughter, imperfect omelets, and memories that stay with us long after the final page.
A massive thank you to PULP Live World for making it happen. Thank you, PULP, for bringing Byeon Woo-seok to the Philippines! Thank you for creating wonderful memories and unforgettable kilig moments as we stepped into his ‘Secret Library’ full of special chapters.
