Cloud lights filled the arena as Baekhyun’s Reverie transformed Manila into a magical space where every Eris cheered the arrival of their beloved “Pogi Bear”, making the night a dazzling, unforgettable reality. ☁️✨
On October 18, 2025, the SM Mall of Asia Arena hosted Byun Baekhyun’s highly anticipated 2025 BAEKHYUN WORLD TOUR <Reverie> in MANILA concert, a significant stop on his world tour. The event was a detailed display of the artist’s unique musical vision, confirming his reputation as an outstanding vocalist and performer.
The dedication was evident early on; Baekhyun was already vibing during soundcheck in his memorable “heartthrob” outfit, setting a high-energy tone for the day. The night delivered a cohesive blend of professional showmanship and genuine connection, defining a memorable experience for his Eris.
The concert launched with powerful energy, immediately showcasing Baekhyun’s command of the stage. The opening featured dynamic tracks like “Young”, “Ghost”, and the smoothly choreographed “Pineapple Slice”. The setlist spanned his solo catalog, expertly navigating between the R&B tones of songs like “Bambi” and the upbeat pop charm of “Candy” and “Betcha”. Fans also enjoyed the live performances from his latest album, Essence of Reverie, including the track “Elevator”, which anchored the conceptual nature of the tour. Throughout the performance, his vocal control was impressive, displaying a natural ease across a wide register.
The concert’s special atmosphere was largely defined by the authentic connection between Baekhyun and his Filipino Eris. The sweetest Baekhyunee made an effort to engage the entire audience, frequently breaking the fourth wall and not gatekeeping eye contact as he acknowledged different sections of the arena. This intimacy was further enhanced by the exclusive photo opportunities included in the Reverie tour structure, giving fans unique, lasting memories. Baekhyun’s playful charisma shone through as he engaged with the crowd’s famous chants.
He previously noted that while he appreciated the Tagalog compliment, the phrase “Byun Pogi” created a slight linguistic difficulty; he shared with fans that when pronounced quickly, the phrase phonetically resembled the Korean word for “shaver” or “razor” (myeondogi), resulting in humorous confusion. To maintain the affection while resolving the linguistic quirk, the nickname organically evolved into the equally genuine and charming “Pogi Bear”.
The crowd expressed their devotion through unified projects: during a short break, the arena spontaneously turned into a soulful choir, serenading the genius idol with his ballad “Late Night Calls”. Visibly touched, Baekhyun publicly praised the crowd’s singing, stating he was genuinely astonished by the collective power and skill of Eris’ vocals. Additionally, the beautiful fan project where the arena was lit with twinkling cloud lights created a serene and dreamy visual effect, which Baekhyun specifically complimented.
The concert concluded with moments of sincere interaction between Baekhyun and Eris — his nickname for his dearest EXO-Ls. During the encore, Baekhyun treated fans to spontaneous performances of beloved snippets, including the classic OST “Beautiful”, showcasing his impressive range. The final song, “Amusement Park”, offered a fittingly gentle and dreamy closing note to the musical journey.
The sincerity of the event carried through the very end; during the dedicated send-off, Baekhyun went back to the stage to address the audience directly, simply declaring the entire concert “perfect”. Before his final exit, he ensured his gratitude was felt, using familiar Tagalog phrases: “Salamat sa pag punta! Mahal kita! Ingat pauwi~ Bye bye!” This genuine and warm farewell solidified the concert as a highly successful and heartfelt encounter.
Thank you for bringing PHIXOs in the world of Reverie, Baekhyunee and INB100!
