BLACKPINK is the world’s biggest music act, BTS at tenth – Bloomberg

According to Bloomberg’s Pop Star Power Rankings

Korean pop girl group BLACKPINK has once again set another milestone, by being the biggest music act in the world, according to Bloomberg’s Pop Star Power Rankings, released last Tuesday, November 10.

Taking different criteria into account such as the number of YouTube views generated and Instagram interactions in the last few days or weeks to name some, the YG Entertainment female quartet has topped the list, followed by foreign acts Pop Smoke, Cardi B, Justin Bieber, Juice WRLD, Drake, and Ariana Grande. Apparently, the mega-hit K-pop boy band BTS placed in tenth.

Bloomberg noted that the K-pop girl group became the most popular act on YouTube, generating more than 1 billion views in October alone from its several music videos. Blackpink was also the second most popular act on Spotify, and their debut album became one of the top 10 best-sellers in the U.S. for the month of October as well.

Blackpink’s popularity has undeniably grown internationally over the past years, with several promotional tours in the U.S and Europe, as well as collaborations with American and English artists, such as Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Cardi B, and Dua Lipa, the girl group had effectively built international attention which results to more and more fans being connected to the group. -HallyuLife.com
