SM Entertainment just confirmed that EXO member Chen is getting married soon, after Chen released a handwritten letter announcing the news on January 13.
The 27-year old K-Pop star and actor with real name Kim Jongdae is reportedly marrying a non-celebrity through a private wedding with their families and close friends. The exact date of their marriage wasn’t revealed.
Here’s Chen’s full handwritten letter (translated to English):
Hello, this is Chen.
I am writing this because I have something to tell our fans. I don’t know how to start this, and I’m very nervous. Although these words might not be much, I’m writing this because I want to tell this news to our fans who gave us so much love first with all honesty.
I have a girlfriend that I want to spend the rest of my life with. I was worried and concerned about what would happen as a result of this decision, but I had been discussing with the agency and our members because I wanted to announce the news at least a little bit earlier so that it wouldn’t come as a sudden surprise.
A blessing then came to our path. I feel taken aback for not being able to do things as planned with the agency and members, but this blessing has given me more strength.
