Golden Disk Awards 2020 announces details, criteria and dates to remember

Golden Disk Awards 2020 just announced the details, criteria and dates to remember for this year’s awards show.

The awards show will be happening in two days. The first day will focus on the winners for the digital music releases this year while the second day will focus more on the physical album releases this year.

Since the 32nd Golden Disk Awards, the only category where online voting is only allowed is the ‘Popularity Award’. Eligible nominees will be coming from the songs and albums released from October 2018 to October 2019 and it’s sales and streaming data will be gathered from Gaon Chart.

The selected nominees will then be screened and evaluated by the Golden Disk Awards executives and 50 specialists in the industry. The criteria for the evaluation will be at 40% versus 30% of the previous years to determine the winners for each category. The nominees for the 34th Golden Disk Awards will be announced on December 6.

The 34th Golden Disk Awards will be happening on January 4 and 5, 2020 at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul and the broadcast of the award show will be aired on JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4.
