JYP Entertainment’s Nizi Project show concludes with a new girl group, ‘NiziU’

After intensely competing in the reality show, the final Nizi Project contestants debut as ‘NiziU’

JYP Entertainment’s reality survival show ‘Nizi Project’ finally concludes with a 9-member girl group ‘NiziU’.

In January this year, JYP Entertainment, together with Sony Music Japan began their quest to find new idols that would form their first-ever Japanese group. Twenty-six girls worked their way to continue on the 2nd Season but only fourteen contestants got in and were trained in JYP Entertainment for six months.

Known for their notable roster of girl groups including Wonder Girls, Miss A, TWICE, and ITZY, the CEO Park Jinyoung said that the debut group would be focusing promotions on Japan, but global promotions would likely be possible as well. Just like the company’s previous show Sixteen, which gave birth to TWICE, the show featured different stage performances from the contestants.

NiziU’s final lineup was revealed as follows:
