K-pop fandoms unite as K-pop royalties Hyoyeon (Girls’ Generation), Yugyeom (GOT7), and Taemin (SHINee) shined brightly during K-MAGIC live at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last October 13, 2023.
The two-hour concert kicked off with Hyoyeon’s return to the Philippines stage with her sizzling performances of “Picture“, “DEEP“, “Second“, and “DESSERT“.

It’s been three years since her first solo performance as DJ HYO in 2020, and she recently spent two weeks in Boracay making amazing memories here in the Philippines. Hyoyeon misses her fans so much that she wanted to return and was finally able to do so thanks to K-MAGIC Live. When the event host Denise Laurel asked her if she would return to the Philippines, Hyoyeon made a pinky promise, saying:
If there’s an opportunity, I will definitely come back!

Hyoyeon thanked her PH SONEs for coming to see her performance live on stage, and she ended her set by singing “Sober” with the entire arena.
Yugyeom takes the stage next, making his return to the Philippines after his last visit in January 2023. He delights fans with awesome performances of “I WANT U AROUND,” “Take You Down,” “All About U,” “Always Ready,” “All Your Fault,” and “Ponytail.” Yugyeom also sang “LOLO” and “Say Nothing” for the first time on the Philippine stage, showcasing his swag moves and vocals.
He happily introduced himself as a member of GOT7, which had the audience, particularly his PH Ahgases, ecstatic. Yugyeom took photos with fans in the crowd and had them singing and dancing while performing GOT7’s “Hard Carry” live on stage!

Yugyeom can still feel the warmth of the weather and the love of his fans months after his visit to the Philippines. He was happy to be back and plans to return to see his PH Ahgases and perform on stage again.

Finally, Taemin has returned six years after his last visit with his group SHINee in 2017. “MOVE,” “Criminal,” and “IDEA” were among the songs he performed on stage. Taemin greeted his PH Shawols with a huge smile and apologized for coming back late, but his fans cheered for his much-awaited return to the country.

Taemin showed his fans more of his love by serenading them with “Hypnosis.” He even allowed his PH Shawols to chant with him, to which Taemin said in reply, “I love you too!”

Even though a piece of his approaching solo comeback song is “spicy” for him, Taemin hummed a bit of it in the hopes that his fans will support him when it comes out. As a performer, Taemin earned the title of “idol of idols” because he served as an inspiration to other K-pop idols. He expresses his sincere appreciation and promises to keep performing well. Stay tuned, Taemin said, as he will soon announce the details of his solo tour. He promises to return to the Philippines soon to meet his PH Shawols. The passionate performance of “Advice” by SHINee’s Taemin serves as finale to his set.
We all had a great time watching three K-pop royalty perform live on stage, and it was a magical night filled with performances that made everyone smile. I’m happy to see that PH SONEs, Ahgases, and Shawols have come together as one big fandom to support Hyoyeon, Yugyeom, and Taemin.
