The New Frontier Theater was really filled with excitement on May 10th, 2025! EXO’s Xiumin came to Manila for his solo fan concert, 2025 XIUMIN FAN CONCERT <X Times ( )> IN MANILA. It was a night packed with fun moments and great songs that showed how much he wanted to interact with his Filipino Elsas and EXO-Ls.
The show started off sweetly with Xiumin singing “Daisy.” It made the whole place feel warm and amazed by the first sight of his amazing visuals – he is not called the “fake maknae” for nothing!
Then came the “HOT ‘IXXUE'” part, where Xiumin shared some fun and surprising things about himself.
He told us he really loves to clean! He hilariously explained that for him, cleaning requires a powerful mood booster, and his go-to track? None other than EXO’s iconic “MAMA”! He even treated the crowd to a funny demonstration of his cleaning moves set to the song’s energetic beat, with the enthusiastic host joining in on the impromptu dance session, creating a wave of laughter throughout the theater.
In a really special moment, Xiumin talked about his audition. He said he sang this Korean song called “Footsteps.” And then, he sang it for us right there! They even brought a karaoke machine all the way from Korea just for this. It felt really personal.
Xiumin also gave us a peek at his character Heo Gyun from the drama “Heo’s Diner.” He looked so handsome in a hanbok and did photo time on the left, right, and center part of the stage. It was cool to see him as his character!
This part was super cute! Xiumin tried to learn the “Chicken Banana” dance, that popular Filipino TikTok trend. He was really trying, and he even danced it with the host! They were both so funny, and the crowd loved it. And guess what? He knows what “pogi” means now! In an incredibly endearing moment, he even coined a new nickname for himself, proudly declaring, “I’m PogXiu!” sending waves of delighted cheers through the venue.
He also played a game where he had to stack a little tower of ten wooden pieces in ten seconds. It looked hard, but he did it on his second try! The fans cheered so loudly for him.
He had some really funny moments with the fans. When we were all cheering super loud, he just put his hand up to quiet us down, and then everyone shouted “Whee!” together. It was really cute.
The fans had a special surprise for him! Elsas and EXO-Ls all sang “Switch Off” together for a “Sing for XIU” fan project. Then, a fan-made video played, and Xiumin got so excited when he saw Jollibee! He even said he always eats Jollibee when he’s in the Philippines. We all totally get it!
During his ment, the energy in the theater went up another level as fans started chanting EXO hits! The shouts of “Cream Soda! Cream Soda!” and “Love Shot! Love Shot!” filled the venue. To everyone’s surprise and delight, Xiumin actually danced a bit to both songs! He totally grooved along to the iconic moves, making the fans go wild with excitement. After dancing, Xiumin said that he should do an EXO Medley on his next concert, making Elsas and EXO-Ls scream with excitement!
Before saying bye, Xiumin promised he’d come back to Manila for another fan concert and sang the sweet song “Love is U.”
