Mnet says they are considering a Season 2 for Queendom

They’re still undecided if it will be for male or female groups

Queendom 2 could be in the works, according to a report from Newsen published on February 13.

The show Queendom, which had its first installment on August to October 31 of last year, garnered attention both domestically and internationally due to a new concept which involved six top K-Pop girl groups releasing simultaneous comebacks and new singles at the same time. It starred the groups AOA, Oh My Girl, Lovelyz, MAMAMOO, (G)I-DLE and soloist Park Bom.

Queendom was heavily acclaimed for breaking the stereotypical image that each girl group had and had successfully provided a place to showcase concepts that were not shown to the public.

As the anticipation for the show’s season 2, possibly called “Kingdom” grows, Mnet says that it is currently in the production review phase, and there are no specific configurations set yet. In addition, Mnet says that they are still considering if the season 2 will be composed of boy or girl groups, once again. -HallyuLife.com
