Kim Myungsoo, known to many as L from the popular K-pop group INFINITE, who’s also an actor, dancer, and singer, made a grand return to Manila with his much-anticipated fanmeet, entitled “Reboot.” The event was a night of nostalgia, new beginnings, and cherished memories for both Myungsoo and his devoted PH OVEs.
The evening kicked off with Myungsoo performing his uplifting song “My Universe,” setting the tone for the night. The excitement in the air was palpable as the star greeted the crowd with a heartfelt message: “It has been such a long time since I have been here in Manila. If I knew you would welcome me this warmly, I should have come more often.”
The fanmeet, named “Reboot,” was a deliberate choice by Myungsoo, symbolizing his desire to start anew and create fresh memories with his fans. He expressed his excitement about reconnecting with his Filipino fans and hinted at future plans, promising, “In my future album, I’ll make sure I come back here in Manila.”
Throughout the night, Myungsoo shared insights into his latest album, “24/7.” When asked about his favorite song, he explained that the album embodies the essence of different times of the day. “‘Blue Summer’ has an energetic vibe for the day, while ‘My Universe’ is perfect for the morning. “So, honestly, I like everything,” he shared with a smile.
A particularly memorable moment was when Myungsoo was asked if he could travel with any INFINITE member, who it would be, and where they would go. He playfully responded, “All members are energetic, so whoever I go with, I will get tired.”
The fanmeet also featured a fun segment called “Replay Myungsoo,” where he delighted the audience by donning a Minion outfit. Three lucky fans were invited on stage to pose with him, and each walked away with a signed Polaroid picture.
Adding to the excitement, Myungsoo performed a cover of the song “Creep,” by British Rock band Radiohead. further showcasing his musical range. He then engaged with fans through interactive games, including opening snack bags, stacking chairs, and a balloon relay, bringing joy and laughter to everyone in attendance.
Another highlight was the segment titled “Which One, Myungsoo?”, where fans had to guess if Myungsoo had done certain activities or not. The interaction was light-hearted and full of surprises, deepening the connection between Myungsoo and his fans.
Towards the end of the fanmeet, Myungsoo unveiled special gifts for his fans, further cementing the bond he shares with his Filipino OVEs. He then performed “Real Story,” a touching song that resonated with the audience, bringing the night to a heartfelt close.
Before leaving the stage, Myungsoo expressed his gratitude: “Thank you so much for today. I promise to come back here in Manila.” The night was a perfect blend of nostalgia and new memories, leaving fans with hearts full of warmth and anticipation for his next visit.
