Samsung Officially Unveils the New Galaxy Z Series: Meet the Fold7, Flip7 and Z Flip FE

Along with some other new devices!

Samsung, one of the global leaders in mobile technology, has unveiled its latest generation of foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Z Flip FE, along with the new Galaxy Watch8, Watch8 Classic, and Watch Ultra. These new devices redefine the mobile and wearable experience. This year’s Z Fold and Z Flip models set a new standard for foldable smartphones, featuring an innovative Armor FlexHinge that enhances both form and functionality.

Galaxy Z Fold gets thinner and lighter

The Galaxy Z Fold7 appears to be the thinnest and lightest in the series yet, measuring just 8.9 mm when folded and 4.2 mm when unfolded. Weighing only 215 grams, it’s even lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. When it comes to mobile displays, Samsung goes beyond just offering a foldable screen. The Galaxy Z Fold7 features an expansive 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display, designed to enhance productivity and entertainment, from editing and multitasking to immersive viewing. The screen also features Vision Booster and up to 2,600 nits of peak brightness, it remains brilliantly visible even under direct sunlight.

The Armor FlexHinge, featuring an improved water droplet design, minimizes visible creasing and enhances overall durability. It’s paired with Corning® Gorilla® Glass Ceramic 2 for added screen protection. Powering the Galaxy Z Fold7 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy with the all-new One UI 8 on Android 16, enabling seamless on-device AI experiences without compromise.

As for the camera, the Galaxy Z Fold7 offers a flagship-level photography experience with its powerful 200MP wide-angle main camera, 12MP ultra-wide, and 10MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. It also features a 10MP 100° cover display camera and another 10MP front shooter on the main screen, perfect for capturing stunning shots from any angle.

AI is a key highlight, that’s why the Samsung Z Fold7 offers smart tools like the upgraded Gemini Live for quick voice or text queries, plus Galaxy AI optimized for large screens, fit for multitasking on the big display, whether you’re watching or playing games. It also features Photo Assist for easy editing, Generative Edit to remove background objects, and Audio Eraser to clean up video sound.

Galaxy ZFlip: The pocket-perfect and the budget-friendly

Where there’s a Fold, there’s always a Flip, and the new Galaxy Z Flip7 brings exciting upgrades. It features an Armor FlexHinge and Armor Aluminum frame, and at just 13.7mm when folded, it’s the thinnest Z Flip yet. The cover screen has been expanded to a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED display, while inside, you’ll find a 6.9-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a smooth 120Hz adaptive refresh rate for an immersive foldable experience.

At the heart of the Galaxy Z Flip7 is the Exynos 2500 chip, built to handle next-gen AI features effortlessly, ensuring fast, smart, and efficient performance every time you flip it open. As for the camera, the Galaxy Z Flip7 features a dual rear setup with a 50MP main and 12MP ultra-wide lens on the cover side, plus a 10MP front-facing camera on the main display for quality selfies and you can use it with a Dual Preview. One of the cool features of the new Z Flip phones? The Now Brief and the Now Bar, giving you a quick glance at your notifications even without flipping your phone. The battery? 4,300mAh battery, the largest to a Z Flip phone.

Now, you can convert your Z Flip7 into a workstation with Samsung DeX where users can flip it open, connect to a screen and instantly get PC-like tools for enhanced multitasking.

If you want a Z Flip7 but on the budget side, the Z Flip7 FE is the Flip for you. IT may be similar to the pevious gen Flip phone, but it has a 6.7-inch Main Display, a 50MP FlexCam, and similar AI features like Now Brief.

Samsung also introduced a new lineup of smartwatches designed to match both your lifestyle and personal style. The Galaxy Watch8 brings advanced health and fitness features, including Bedtime Guidance for optimal sleep, an Antioxidant Index that measures carotenoid levels in just five seconds, and a Running Coach that assesses your fitness level and creates a personalized training plan with real-time feedback, all powered by Wear OS 6.

For those who prefer a classic look, the Galaxy Watch8 Classic combines timeless design with modern smart features. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch Ultra delivers the longest battery life and the most durable performance yet, making it the ultimate choice for power users and adventurers alike.
