UP10TION’s Bitto tests positive for COVID-19, many other artists are getting tested as a result

UP10TION’s Bitto has been reportedly tested positive for COVID-19, his agency TOP Media confirmed on Monday, November 30.

Bitto, who performed previously on Show! Music Core and Inkigayo on November 28 and 29, respectively, had been told on November 29th that he came in close contact with a confirmed positive case and was immediately tested. Unfortunately, that test came back positive.

As a result, the staff and artists from both the music shows “Music Core” and “Inkigayo” had been informed regarding the diagnosis. Both have also said that they are checking their CCTVs in order to see whom the artists and staff came into close contact with or have crossed paths.

Artists such as aespa, NCT, Bling Bling and MCs of both shows mentioned are reportedly getting tested as well, including their staff will undergo testing as a precaution.

SBS MTV’s The Show cancels this week’s episode following the news. UP10TION’s scheduled activities are also halted as a result.

Here’s TOP Media’s full statement regarding Bitto’s COVID-19 diagnosis:

Hello, this is TOP Media.

UP10TION’s Bitto, our artist, has tested positive for COVID-19.
Following the conclusion of his scheduled activities on November 29, he was told that he came in close contact with a confirmed case and was tested. His diagnosis was confirmed on the morning of November 30.

Our agency artists, staff, and employees who crossed paths or came into contact with Bitto are being tested for COVID-19, and we will take quarantine measures according to instructions by health authorities.

UP10TION’s following scheduled activities have all been canceled, and once again we will do our best to take care of our artists and manage sanitation for COVID-19.

We sincerely apologize to broadcast representatives and involved staff members as broadcast activities were carried out without knowing that he came into close contact with a confirmed case.

We once again apologize for causing concern.

Thank you.
